if you can understand that as a โleaderโ your team (with a small L and small H) will โhateโ you and โloveโ you at different stages, and not try to change the feelings they have but stay true to the goal you to will always be respected by your team.

Showing appreciation to your team can make all the difference. When you tell them specifically what you like about their work and show them that their efforts are valued, it motivates them to continue working hard. I used to believe that my team should automatically do their job, but I was wrong. By applying what I've learned from LinkedIn, I've started giving my team high 5 cards and telling them exactly what I appreciate about their work. This small gesture has paid off in a big way, as evidenced by our increased sales. Remember, a little appreciation can go a long way in building a strong and motivated team.

i must have really bad luck because in 2.5 years of job searching, a recruiter never helped me to get a job. I did receive plenty of help making my resume look very good. When i quit looking for a job out of the blue another American i rubbed shoulders with in China who has a 3D Printer and CNC company mentioned how terrible and lazy their Chinese engineers were at fixing anything anything. Three years, zero improvements and all on top of that.. no suggestions about new products. I spent 4 days working on one of their software bugs just to get some extra cash. Their current dev spent 6 months on and accomplished nothing. I'm finished in 10 days with a deployable self-installer binary for the customers for MacOS, Linux and Windows. Next thing i know, the owner of the company approaches me and says: "i'd really like to hire you because we could really use your skills at this company, but sales are not good right now...". I threw out a number that was incredibly low for my skillset. Offer accepted plus the owner has agreed to give me commissions on any of the products i fix/improve/develop at this company. What i'm taking away from this 2.5 years of job searching is this:"Professional networking is VERY important, but make the ratio of Recruiters to Like-minded professionals a very lopsided ratio". I have no statistics to back it up but let's say for every 1 recruiter connect with 9 other professionals. Don't just add them to linkedin, meet up with them and have some kind of meaningful conversation with them.I don't think i've actually been offered a job in the last 15 years through a recruiter, it's always been someone that knows a company that needs someone like me. So my advise is to "Make your Professional Portfolio AWESOME", excel in whatever you do even if it's not a popular skill within the industry.

New Team!! What does a new team mean to you? For me I look at a new team or team member as:New Skills, New Abilities and New Opportunities. Having a new team member or new team can be a challenge but you need to look at it from the view that the new team member is coming with new skills, new abilities and new opportunities. #teambuilding
