ULTRAKILL - All Secrets and Solution Guide (2024)

You’ve totally crushed all the main levels in Ultrakill and now you’re looking to jazz things up by turning them a fancy gold color. No worries, because I’m here to be your treasure map, leading you to every hidden secret and special mission. I’ll also give you the scoop on how to crack them. And, to make sure you’re not wandering around lost, I’ve included a whole bunch of pictures to guide you every step of the way.

Prelude

0-1 Into the Fire

Secret 1

• To find the first secret in the game, look for the glass above a door. Use a special attack (the game might call it “alt fire”) to break it. That’s where you’ll discover your first hidden treasure.

Secret 2

• In a room that has big glass windows and an enormous fan, you should climb up some pipes. Up there, you’re going to find the second secret waiting for you.

Secret 3

• Just after you leave the last room, don’t stop climbing. If you keep going up the wall, a third secret will show up, like magic!

Secret 4

• When you’re in a room filled with lots of pipes, remember to look up! The fourth secret is hiding above you, just under the ceiling.

Secret 5

• This last secret can be found in a special room where the game shows you how to crash down from the sky like a superhero. You should break a vent to get inside and grab your final secret prize.

Challenge

• Make lots of enemies bunch up on one piece of glass. Then, find a way to break the glass. It might sound tough, but you’ll probably do it without even trying!

0-2 The Meatgrinder

Secret 1

• When you enter the first room with the statue, make sure to climb the pipes to discover a hidden secret.

Secret 2

• In a room where large pipes are pouring blood, keep an eye out for another secret.

Secret 3

• After passing the Crushers, don’t forget to turn around and spot the ventilation. Break it and proceed through the only open door to uncover yet another secret.

Secret 4

As you pass the Crushers, opt for the left door.

Thenbreak the ventilation, and continue through. But be cautious not to pick up this secret by mistake.

Secret 5

• In the final room, don’t hesitate to journey through the blood waterfall to reveal the last secret.

Challenge

Starting from the 4th secret, take a right turn and crawl through the ventilation.

At the fork, veer right again, break the vent, and enter the room with the boss.

Defeating the boss successfully will complete this challenge.

Secret Mission

To embark on the Secret Mission, begin by locating the skull. It’s hidden in the open vent above the statue just before the room with the crushers.

Once you’ve secured the skull (press F button if needed), head to the room right before the 4th secret. Place the skull on the pedestal (again, use the F button), and a wall will open up, revealing the pathway to the secret mission. Good luck uncovering all the secrets and completing the mission!

0-3 Double Down

Secret 1

• In the room where you encounter the new enemy, break the glass ceiling and then turn around to discover the secret hidden there.

Secret 2

• Proceed to the room where the entrance was destroyed by your shotgun blast. Look up above the archway to find this secret.

Secret 3

• Before facing the boss for the second encounter, take a moment in the room just ahead. Turn around and locate the wall with a crack. Use the alternate shotgun fire to break through and unveil the final secret.

Challenge

• Completing the challenge might seem daunting due to the game blocking the door until enemies are eliminated. However, in the initial room, there’s a not-so-obvious shortcut. Break the glass ceiling and utilize techniques like slam storage to ascend. Once atop, defeat the boss, and you’ll successfully conquer the challenge.

0-4 A One-Machine Army

Secret 1

• To find the first secret, head to the first room and look under the ceiling on the right column.

Secret 2

• In the room with the spinning killer thing, break the glass on the right side and enter the room. Keep in mind that you’ll need to deal with two stone statues before you can claim this secret.

Secret 3

• The last secret is tucked away beneath the glass in the final room.

Challenge

• Completing the challenge offers various approaches, but one effective strategy is to progress through the level as usual, defeating all enemies but refraining from breaking the glass in the last room. Once you’ve advanced, return to the starting point, aim to center your camera precisely, and then slide your way to the end of the level for a successful completion.

0-5 Cerberus

Challenge

Use Cerberus attacks to your advantage by dodging at the right moment, which will inadvertently damage them. The simplest method to conquer this challenge involves dealing substantial damage to the Cerberus enemies but leaving them with minimal HP. Then, adeptly dodge their attacks until they inadvertently eliminate themselves. This strategy offers a straightforward path to completing the challenge.

0-S Something Wicked

Prepare yourself for some seriously scary moments in this part of the game.

By the way, in the game files, this level’s challenge is named “don’t freak out,” but don’t worry; it’s almost impossible to complete.

Since the level is super dark, having a map is essential to avoid getting lost. Stay alert, and hopefully, you’ll make it through the darkness in one piece!

When you grab the skull, Something Wicked will awaken. Waste no time and utilize your bunny hopping abilities to follow the path outlined by the blue line on the map. Quickly place the skull on the pedestal, and Something Wicked should vanish momentarily until you retrieve the red skull. Once you do, bunny hop along the red line on the map and promptly position the skull on the pedestal.

Tip: Press F to temporarily boost the skull’s illumination strength.

Limbo

On this layer, in addition to the usual secrets and challenges, there is also an Alternate Revolver that you can get if you press 4 tiles on each level in limbo.

1-1 Heart of the Sunrise

Here’s my not-so-great map that might (hopefully) assist you in uncovering the secrets.

Secret 1

• Head to the right of the red pedestal to discover the first secret. Inside the room, you’ll find only a tower. Climb it to claim the secret.

Secret 2

• In the room with the red pedestal, locate the fallen column. The second secret awaits above it. You’ll need to pass through the wall to reach it.

Secret 3

• Go behind the waterfall in the room where you initially encounter the drones to uncover the third secret.

Secret 4

• In the room where you’re introduced to the alternate minigun attack, there’s a secret hidden behind the painting. Investigate to reveal it.

Secret 5

• Before the final battle, explore under the ceiling in the preceding room to stumble upon the fifth secret.

Secret mission and challenge

• To unlock the secret mission, toss a revolver marksman coin into the fountain at the level’s outset. Complete the challenge in 10 seconds for a simple task.

A slab for the revolver (1/4)

• On the Limbo layer, you can acquire an alternate revolver. The first tile is located on the roof of the last room. Break the glass and utilize the alternate shotgun fire to execute a jump.

1-2 The Burning World

Secret 1

• In the room where you have your first battle on this level, explore any side passage. Look under the ceiling to find the first secret.

Secret 2

• Search the section with the flamethrowers to uncover the second secret.

Secret 3

• Inside the room with the blue skull, head to the passage beneath the stairs to discover the third secret.

Secret 4

• Behind a particular door lies the fourth secret. Not much else to say.

Secret 5

• Once again, beneath the stairs hides the fifth secret. But beware, collecting it will awaken the Cerberus.

A slab for the revolver (2/4)

In the room with the fourth secret, turn around to spot a cracked wall.

Break through it and continue onward to find another cracked wall. Behind it lies a small “village” where you’ll encounter the Cancerous Rodent. Defeat it, then face the Very Cancerous Rodent! After its defeat, a grate will open, allowing you to press the button.

1-3 Halls of Sacred Remains

Secret 1

• The first secret is located in the initial room. Break the glass and ascend to the roof to find it.

Secret 2

• In the first room with the red skull, access the second secret by sliding down the slope.

Secret 3

• Once you’ve obtained the red skull, accessing the third secret is straightforward. Navigate through the hole in the wall and drop down to reach it.

Secret 4

• Look behind the stream near the blue skull to discover the fourth secret.

Secret 5

• Under the stairs along the path of the blue skull lies the fifth secret.

Secret encounter, alternate revolver slab (3/4) and challenge

• Conveniently all in one location! Place both skulls on their pedestals, and the picture will transport you to the Secret Encounter. Defeat the Swords machines to complete the challenge and unlock the slab.

Easter Egg!

• In the room to the right along the path of the blue skull, you can punch through the ceiling to exit.

On the roof, you’ll find a very scary soap. Pick it up with F and use it to instantly kill any enemy. Be mindful, as the soap is only sufficient for one enemy, so choose your target wisely.

1-4 Clair De Lune

Alternate revolver

• The final slab and alternate revolver are both located on this level. Head right in the main hallway until you reach a large door with the last slab in front of it.

• Press the slab to open the door and claim the revolver.

Challenge

• The window above the pedestals is made of glass (what a shame). Break it with any weapon, and you’ll find yourself in the room with the boss.

1-S The Witless

This level might disappoint those who bought the game for mindless killing, but here are all the solutions regardless:

2-1 Bridgeburner

Secret 1

• Break the wall near the ramp to find the first secret.

Secret 2

• Search under the first bridge for the second secret.

Secret 3

• This one’s a bit tricky. Seriously, try rocket surfing or another movement technique.

Secret 4

• Discover the fourth secret under the end of the first bridge.

Secret 5

• Find the fifth secret to the left of the exit of the second tower.

Challenge

• To complete the challenge, venture outside to the location of the first secret and fly to the end of the level using rocket surfing.

2-2 Death at 20,000 Volts

Secret 1

• Above the Cerberus, there’s a window. Break the glass to access this secret.

Secret 2

• Head to where the soldiers were standing. Turn left, descend, and retrieve the secret.

Secret 3

• Near the previous secret, climb up through this passageway.

Secret 4

• Slide into what appears to be a sewer to uncover this secret.

Secret 5

• In front of the house, there’s a hole in the wall. Pass through it to find the secret.

Challenge

• No secrets here, just master the movement techniques and speedrun the level.

2-3 Sheer Heart Attack

Secret 1 and breaker(1/3)

• Slide under the wall near the red pedestal to access the first secret and the first breaker.

Secret 2 and breaker(2/3)

• Slide under the bridge to uncover the second secret and the second breaker.

Secret 3 and breaker(3/3)

• In a room with numerous crushers, look to the left of the entrance under the ceiling to find the third secret and the third breaker.

Secret 4

• Find the fourth secret above the bridge.

Secret 5

• In the crusher room, locate the fifth secret by the left wall.

Challenge

The challenge cannot be simply completed, as the final door is behind the waterfall. However, this guide will help you accomplish it. You can drain all the water in the level and disable the dangerous traps by breaking three breakers. All the breakers can be found near the secrets. After defeating all the breakers, head to the exit of your choice: vector or normal.

Secret mission

• To access the secret mission, drain all the water on the level and proceed through the door behind the volopad.

2-4 Court of the Corpse King

Challenge

• Simply time your parries to counter the boss’s punch.

Gluttony

3-1 Belly of the Beast

Secret 1

• In the first room, find a passage underneath the acid on the left.

Secret 2

• In the room with the three cerberus, look under the stairs leading to the door.

Secret 3

• Near the prime door in a room with multiple stairs, take the far left, disconnected staircase.

Secret 4

• In a room after another with multiple stairs, look under the bridge.

Secret 5

• In the final room, descend the stairs after the battle.

Challenge

This challenge can be challenging. Hit Gabriel three times using the malicious railgun, wait 3 seconds, then fire the minigun. Move down the passageway to the first secret, but be cautious of the acid.

3-2 In the Flesh

Challenge

• This challenge is quite tough. When Gabriel enters the second phase (after losing the first part of his HP), he will fall until he touches the floor. To complete the challenge, you must deplete his first part of HP over the void.

Greed

4-1 Slaves to Power

Secret 1

• Under the bridge at the beginning of the level.

Secret 2

• On the “tower” after exiting the first room.

Secret 3

• Behind a closed door in the second room. Press the button above the entrance to open it.

Secret 4

• On one of the columns outside after exiting the second room.

Secret 5

• In the last room, break the crack in the roof with a shotgun.

Challenge

• You can complete the entire level using rocket surfing. Utilize the cracks in the ceiling of the last room.

4-2 F#ck the Sun

Secret 1

• Behind the slab with the Cerberus mural.

Secret 2

• On the roof before the entrance to the center room.

Secret 3

• On the platform before the center room, find another platform with a secret on the front-right corner.

Secret 4

• Under the entrance stairs on the red skull side. This also grants you an additional weapon.

Secret 5

• By the secret door, find the button outside the room with the blue skull.

It’s just down the stairs from the entrance to the center room.

Challenge

There are two strategies for this challenge.

First, refrain from using bonuses while collecting skulls.

Then, before summoning the boss, take all of them and use miniguns to quickly defeat the boss. Alternatively, don’t break the glass on the side of the red skull while fighting enemies. After summoning the boss, quickly fly there and break the glass after the boss stands there.

Secret mission

In the room with the fifth secret, take the moon and place it on the pedestal on the roof of the main room.

This will deactivate the hot sand. Head towards the elevator at the beginning, where you’ll find the moon and the exit to the secret level beneath it.
