Why Are Players NOT Using Their Starkillers??? Stop Wasting Money in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes!! (2024)

So I'm seeing all these comments. BUT - not one person whose roster was reviewed has responded with this. They say things like "oh, I missed that," or "I just don't like him," or stuff like that - seriously. I don't recall anyone saying, "I just don't have the resources."

It's because new players don't have the materials!,they bought so much they ran out of materials, my best guess

If the bundle was sold by itself, ya, it would be ridiculous to put him on the back burner for what he could do. but being sort of buried with GL Rey and Kylo... they just shift focus after the unlock. Im still working on kylo. Also just by the nature of how stats are tracked in game, there are GL requirements for joining certain clans - and on the clan info pages there are stat trackers for the # of GLs, not the number of Starkillers.

NOOCH, as someone that has bought every LSB, it's an investment for future development. Just because I don't want to stop farming my Executor because I bought the Starkiller bundle, doesn't mean I won't work on it when I deem the time is right for my account, and when that time comes, the time it takes to get it to functioning order is drastically reduced because I put that investment down. Because I put that investment down, in the meantime, my Empire/Sith team has drastically became better because of Talon & Mara Jade. Game is a marathon, not a sprint, be careful not to cast it like a sprint Nooch. :) All the love and respect, love the content.

If you have him unlocked then there is zero reason to not gear him up especially if you have an omicron on him. I frequently kill SEE and JMLs people place on defence with him. Palpatine is needed to unlock slkr and you got mara jade in the starkiller bundle so its literally upgrading 1 extra character (starkiller) and you have one of the best teams.

These players that have been highlighted would definitely greatly benefit from upgrading him. I will say however at the Kyber 2/1 area of GAC I don’t always end up using StarKiller due to datacrons. It’s sad, I love using him but datacrons haven’t been very friendly to him for awhile.

Not part of this group, got him to R5 after getting the bundle. His team and CLS are my favorites right now.

Starkiller is my favorite. I get so excited when I pull it out of the sky.

I recently came back to the game in December after a 3 year break. I purchased some of the light speed because as an original game player these packs blow my mind. I got Starkiller but haven’t been able to finish him yet while building other farms. Kyro and zeta issues & for Starkiller I have major omicron issues. It takes me a month right now to get one omicron set.
Depending on where people are at in the game, I think the light speed bundles are slightly overrated. Essentially they’re just a materials package, and truly are a catch up mechanism. They are not an overnight game changer, level jump.

I’ve been having this issue with Maul, Zorii, Veers, Starck, and soon to be Malgus.
The packs are great, but with the amount of GL’s I’ve had to gear up in recent months, I just do not have enough kyro’s to go around.
Once I finish gearing up JML (my 4th GL), I’m taking a break from bigger farms, and focusing on those smaller ones that have insane value. It just takes time.

I bought the Lightspeed bundles for starkiller and did his event, but my starkiller has been sitting in my roster 330/330 ready for unlock untill now, i was doing Rey, JML and now Leviathan while Starkiller was sitting in the Freezer by manner of speaking 😅
For me, its now the ideal moment to get Starkiller and his team up cuz im going for SLKR next, which needs Emperor Palpatine as a requirement. Almost got Starkiller at gear13. But cant relic him or Palpatine yet cuz relic resources are focussed on Leviathan Requirements. But so far, even at gear13 Starkiller team has been a great team for me.
My GAC defense is solid with rey, malgus, GAS and Zorri holding the lines. But i really suffer on offense. So i'm going for good Offensive teams now.
I'm sure every person has their reasons. 😊

Bro forgot one important thing. Not everyone has the recorces they need for characters that require kyrotech. Especially the more "newer" players

I get why it happens, it’s all the kyro tec. They see it and 1 character needs 50 of each and he needs 100 of each to level

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat with g12 Starkiller with no zetas on a 7th month lsb alt account because of the massive zeta crunch. There is so many characters on that roster that I unlocked that haven't been leveled or geared.

Nooch you should look at my account it would make you happy. R5 rex, zori at g12 just waiting her turn for relics, rey and slkr built, just finished farming the last jml req, greivous and padme are on my work bench waiting for their g13, neatly done farming the last two galactic republic ships...doing it right and maximizing my purchases. I don't understand why anyone would do anything otherwise.

I did purchase Starkiller. He's gear 8. I'm focused on SLKR and Rey at the moment. I will be focusing him after Rey.

I haven't put any materials or gear on him yet period. I want to do so but my resources are scarce and prioritized elsewhere. GL Rey and SLKR specifically. That Bundle has not been a waste though. I got Mara Jade her Omi for TW to join with my Palpatine, Dash Rendar has given me a viable scoundrel team. Darth Talon flexes between my Traya team or my Palpatine team, and Katarn is playing with my Rebel fighters.

He's one of my favorite characters in all of star wars, super stoked to get him up but I don't think he has the same impact on my roster as someone like CLS or SLKR right now. Cannot wait to get him relic'd up and going BRRR for GAC but one awesome GAC/squad arena team is the least of my worries right now

when i bought the pack when it first came out i stopped my farm i had going to get him up. Because i watched gac streams like ahnalds so i knew he would be worth stopping a farm to get up. Ever since hes been a staple defense for me in gac

I got sk back when the pack dropped but I'm trying to keep pushing getting the journeys done I just got gas with only 4 total zetas and now I'm going for cal since the other journeys need relics but after I complete cal I'm gonna start just finishing setup for sk Malek and gas then I'm gonna do gl Rey since I got her pack

In my case I took a break from swgoh after I got the bundles because my life got crazy. Also 2 days before the bundles were announced I got Darth Talon to R 5. I was not prepared to unlock Starkiller when I did.

Now, I don't know if that's what the other players are doing, but typically I don't level up a character's gear unless I have their full gear level unlocked, with the exception of gear 12. That said when I finish journeys, I tend to favorite them, so I know to work on them.
Then again, I have characters waiting because I have such a backlog on needing zetas and omicrons.

As a returning player who got a couple lsbs, I'm in this boat. Do I work up crex zorii, iden types, or do I go after gungans? Also I will have a ton of conquest characters pop up at once. Do I not go for a GL like Jabba because of the other things that are time gated? Such is my swgoh life, but I just got Jedi Cal so I'm happy

I’ve gotten so many good toons in the last few months I’ve reliced dtmg, Rey, Reva, and I got jkl in December and just reliced him last night going to have jml jmk and bane in the next 2 weeks. I also still need to put zetas on mando and kargo. Also going to be done with light side mandos in the next 4 weeks and need to get them reliced. Oh and also need to relic, zetas and omi zori and merrin

I gave up upgrading mine due to the Kyro tech wall. I focus more on finishing shard farming for guild event teams.
If CG wants to make it EASIER to farm gear then I will upgrade him, but until then I rather focus on characters that do not require that many kyro techs.

He is on my list after SLKR and REY, then on to Starkiller its a long road, just too many kyros

Mine is at G12 currently. He's my next focus for relic. I took palp to R7 and my Mara Jade is R5 with a zeta

Mine sat at level 1 for months. I finally did upgrade the team, for proving grounds. There are so many things to farm at the same time. Now I am going for gungans. I will leave Rey farm until the end of gungan farm, unless there is a ship galactic chase.

I didnt go after him until I knew I had the materials for him. Now I use him every GAC. I just used him a few days agos to beat a GL Luke

Ive been using my resources elsewhere. Im working on reys ultimate. But im planning on getting to him next. Especially since ive been doing good in ga even with a more limited roster. I just beat an 8.2 mil gp against my 4.2. So ive been able to do just enough. I haven't needed him. But ill be working on starkiller soon. Probably after my guilds next raid ends.

As soon as I got that bundle SK was priority and I got him to relics asap. Been killing GL teams with him ever since.

A video where you break down the one piece needed for each LSB to complete the teams would be a great vid! I am sure it is out there but pull all the LSB together and break down that character for each. Maybe it is just the 3 you mentioned in the video tho. I would not know. I am still trying to learn teams and characters and where they belong and I only started playing sense this newest round of bundles.

I have no clue. I unlocked him right away and got a team for him. My mods aren't good, but I am working on it.
He is sitting at relic 5.
My current farms are: slkr(currently ar phase 3), then rey ( need a few relics on bb8 and raddus), visas mar and C. Rex, lastly I will relic up my starkiller team. He is currently my favorite character, just need gls as I have none.

It is materials for me. I used a lot of Materials just to get Rey… I am farming them but it is slow going. I do agree if your spending your cash then it makes sense to upgrade the important characters

I wanted to finish my CLS team before gearing him UP.
And then i changed Guild and they asked for the inquisitors and well it takes Time so my SK IS still low Gear but his time will come !

All the gear and no idea, my guess is its leas gear based issues and more they simply dont know, some people play just for fun and dont put extra time in outside the game in watching videos or learning more about it

I got SK to G8 when I first unlocked him and plopped the zeta on him
As SOON as I got CLS to G13 SK was getting worked on again, and he was my next G13, currently he’s sitting at R3, but I’m taking him to R8 after I get Vader R7 for Executor, but at minimum worst case scenario (I get Piett G13 before an R8 SK) he’ll sit at R5/7 for a little longer

Mine is a dust collector also. The game has very high and various currency demands on every character, especially when starting at level 1. Credits, droids, gear, ability mats, etc. So when you have a roster of relics from the different bundles who fit on teams, its hard to invest in a level 1, gear 1, skill 1 guy who is unaligned. Mine is lvl 85, G9, skills around 7, and has decent mods. Every time I use him on a EP/Mara and company team he seems to just stand there, do very little, and die first. He needs to be relic'd before he is usable. Right now I'm working on my CLS and IT teams. So that's 10 characters. If I see a gear piece that fits on 1 of them and also Starkiller, then sorry Starkiller. He'll have to wait.

Captain rex is so good! He has low star viability. I gave him the zeta and omicron and I use them to beat so much from grievous to grand inquisitor

I started in March, and have bought all the LSBs myself. Starkiller is one of my upcoming plans, but Executor comes first. Then SLKR, and Rey. CLS/Starkiller are my next plans after that. But I'm not adding omicrons until he's geared, I can say that! There just isn't enough gear to go around for those 3 farms even, with the speed they're happening at.
Things like Zorii, Rex, Merrin after that. They're aren't enough zetas for everything either. But those are characters I don't expect in a future LSB so they're higher priority to me, that's for sure.

I believe it's because they have better priorities before touching SK, like myself. I am working towards SLKR first before SK. Yeah, kyrotech pain is real.
Thats the sole reason why i dont buy GAS bundle. There's too much stuff to work on.
But still, i had no idea why people apply omicron before gearing them up. That's too much.

so im proud: i bought the Lightspeedbundles -> and my first things were: i love starkiller - so main him. next one was crex.
But my guess is, that this characters are "out of use" if you got them.
example: CLS and whatever... the required characters can be used more for anything else.

Because kyro tech is just such a big hurdle that people don’t see coming. I don’t even wanna know how long it would take to farm all of it up

I’m part of this community, unlocked Starkiller and got him to gear 10 and put 2 Omicrons on him and he’s doing everything I need him to do so I’m leaving him alone until he starts losing in GAC but so far only wins.

When the bundles came out he was the first moon I geared up.

I bought the bundle have him relic 7 now with my emperor, working on getting the last zeta on Jane (have the omi her) and a lvl 6 visas marr just about to get 7 need to zelic my relic 5 Ben also.

I got Starkiller the hard way, and I was under the impression that I _needed_ to also bump Visas Mar, and Juhani or Barris at relic to work.
Sounds like you disagree, but I had also heard a bit about teams like Dr. Aphra being past their usefulness, and I _thought_ star killer was spoken on in the same way

I have been working on this team, too. Before SK, Mara was with my Emp, Vader team. Once you mive Mara and Emp with SK, what is the team Vader should lead? I have looked at the old Ahnald videos, but I don’t see anything current. Any thoughts?

I don't use SK because I don't really have good units to use with him. My palpatine and mara are used on my empire team. SK has such a crazy and unique skill set, that it's just not easy to use him without sacrificing other teams.

Its just the kyro wall and zeta economy, its honestly not much of a surprise not everyone is going to constantly throw money and the smaller transactions especially when you get way more value for money just buying the bundles

I bought the bundles, have had starkiller at gear x and one omi for a few months.
at the stage of the game i'm at, i think its more important to achieve higher levels on assault battles and fleet arena because of the resource return. starkiller in the lower lvls of grand arena has so far with a gear 12 palps, kyle katarn and scav rey has never failed to win me a battle . (of course in grand arenas that are winnable, excluding the 10 mil accounts one occasionally is matched up against)
imo its far better to gain resource and slowly build starkiller (mainly kyrotechs) and zeta's cost. he will be priority number one when i consistently only just loose a match in grand arena but for now kyro techs on bad batch for marauder to guarantee the win against executors in fleet shard is far more important as one example.

My main R5 sk the same day I purchased bundle without a question it was worth it. On my alt I bought it but still have unlocked sk just cause I don't have a place ready yet and he is a lot of mats and zetas for one game mode. I use mara, dash, talon every GAC since. Sk requires to much for me to finish my other farms. But dash mara is so worth it. I'll have soon as I'm almost there in my priority.

Me personally, I haven’t leveled him up, is because I have both GL bundles and they are GLS, starkiller is very good, but I would rather have a GL than starkiller. For me it’s the kyros, if I had thousands of kyros I would level him up in an instant

This is EXACTLY why Songeta and the rest of the vets are WAY off when it comes to the lightspeed bundles. Just because someone has purchased the lightspeed bundles doesn’t mean they will follow through with the end goal of the bundle.

The reason is people also bought GL bundles, which also take a ton of rescources. Starkiller takes a stupid amount of kyros. The kyros are the entire reason for your anger. It takes months for just starkiller (not to mention you need palps too), or a GL and their whole team...makes perfect sense to me. SK takes 400 kyros!

Star killer may not be good against rRay now, but can still take about some big teams inc SLKR, so still rocks

1 word... "KYROTECH" you just get these characters and their early gear a such a faster rate, then you have 4-5 characters just waiting. I'm there with multiple characters. Just spent 400 shock prods and 300 computers on SLKR, now I have Zorii, CRex, Savage, Padme, Chewbacca all just sitting at gear 8-9 until I can get another load of Kyro. Zetas too, it hurts so bad seeing people get zeta drops in cantina, while all I get is puny Merrin shards, CG shoulda been more clear, with more of a heads up, on what was needed to get those zeta drops. Such an unfair imbalance. To me one zeta mat is worth like 50 Merrin shards, lol, Smh. I mean what good is Merrin if I can't put any zetas on her anyway? Oh well, just puts me that much more behind.

Why gear up a single character that transforms a team to GL level when you can spend 6 months farming Lord Vader requirements??

Nooch I'm in this boat rn, my roster is disgusting more than half of my roster has no mods and I'm working on keensa, Zorii, Rex, Grievous, Merrin, The armorer(for a better SLKR), Star killer, C-3PO, Padime, 501st team, BB-8, Jedi training Ray so i can get GL Ray, I also have to work on bad batch for the marader that I don't have, I'm 1 shard from unlocking Malevolence so I need to farm hyena bomber and vulture droid too. So with all the capital ships I have I'm strapped for prestige mats. Before the zeta event as bonus drops for cantina energy I had 1 zeta ready to go, 1 omicron ready to go, no omegas left gear is tight.
All in all nooch were all strapped for materials and it's only been about 6-7 months since the last Rey and Kylo LSB's dropped. Out of everything I got going on, what would your priority list look like? In which order should we be doing zetas and omicrons and focus on which characters to gear up first assuming we have no zetas on any of the 10 different teams we gotta grind for.

Yeah. I have TONS of "good" and "late game" characters and I just don't have the resources for their gear or their mods. They make the characters easy to obtain but to make them good, is hundreds of dollars per toon or rather, MONTHS of farming.

Next thing you know, people will have all GLs sitting at G8

If you’re going to spend 50 dollars to get the LSB you need to finish the farm. Relic SK. Make it a priority for the account.
